Mera peak is 18th highest peak among the permitted trekking peaks to climb. Mera peak rises to the south of Mt. Everest around 11 km. Mera peak is moderately challenging. For the first climbers, Mera Peak offers a thrilling opportunity to try some Himalayan rock and ice. This climbing is one of the exhilarating peak climbing Khumbu regions. Mera peak climbing looks tiny in front of other 8000m mountains because of its 6461m height so this climb is not so technical. You will need good adaption to altitude and some basic experience with climbing equipment ice ax and crampons.
Mera peak climbing gives us to explore both the rich Sherpa culture and the wilderness areas of Hinku valley. The trek is started as Phaplu airstrip or Tumlingtar airstrip after 30 minutes flight from Kathmandu. Our walk will be through lush green hills, forests of Rhododendron and bamboo and deep river gorges. If necessary our Sherpa staff will train to use ice ax and crampons. We need to spend several nights at tented camp over there while trekking. So all the responsibility like fixing rope, making a tent, preparation of summit for resting is taken by Sherpa staffs.
If we forgot any of the important equipment like ice ax and crampons we may suffer from problems. Autumn and spring are the most favorable season to do trekking in this region. These trekking will provide instant Himalayan trek to the passionate trekkers. The climb may be delayed because of the bad climatic condition. But you should not worry because we will have trekking by detecting the climatic condition. The key to the successful trip at high altitude is a slow start and plenty of time taken to acclimatize. The entire difficult task in high altitude is managed by trekking Agency in Nepal as themselves. Everest Trekking Routes is organizing trekking at this region throughout the year according to the desire of trekkers.
